Shafaqna English- On Tuesday, the Baghdad Operations Command announced the successful execution of its security plan to ensure safety during celebrations for the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday in the Al-Adhamiya district.
The official spokesman for the Baghdad Operations Command, Major General Abbas Raihan, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “the Baghdad Operations Command has achieved many successes, particularly in securing large-scale pilgrimages,” noting that “Al-Adhamiya is safe and stable today and is receiving delegations from across the capital and the provinces to celebrate the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.”
He added that “the security plan was successfully implemented and was characterized by the absence of armed displays,” noting “the very high level of cooperation between the security forces and citizens to maintain the security and stability that Baghdad is currently enjoying.”
Raihan pointed out that “the existing solidarity between the and Al-Adhamiya areas, through the Imams Bridge, to perform the pilgrimage rituals, is taking place in an atmosphere of reassurance and spirituality, contributing to strengthening security and stability.”
