The chief of the RSS, Mohan Bhagwat, is expected to address an audience at a Manhattan venue this coming Saturday, as confirmed by the event’s online promotional material.
In response to a question about possible cancellation, Mamdani—the first Muslim and Indian American to lead New York City—acknowledged his personal opposition to the rally, yet expressed doubt about the city’s legal capacity to cancel or restrict a private event, given the constraints of local jurisdiction.
