Shafaqna English– Kevin Warsh, the Federal Reserve Chairman, has historically resisted giving any hints about future monetary policy. However, on Friday, his reluctance seemed to ease somewhat, as bond markets pressed him for clarity on persistent inflation and his potential response.
During his debut Jackson Hole speech, Warsh provided just enough information to push markets toward anticipating a rate hike next month. Observers saw this as a positive return to the Fed’s conventional way of guiding expectations.
