Shafaqna English– Investors drew confidence on Friday(28 Aug 2026) from new Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s firm resolve to bring down high inflation. Still, a large portion of Wall Street remained in the dark about how the central bank might adjust to economic shifts in the months ahead.
During his highly anticipated speech, Warsh remarked that the Fed would “have work to do” should policymakers be unconvinced that core inflation was heading back to the 2% goal. He further indicated that financial conditions did not seem tight and came closer than before to admitting that interest rate hikes could be required to ease inflationary pressures.
