Shafaqna English– The Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) has put forward a proposal to host an international conference in Amsterdam aimed at fundamentally restructuring FIFA.
As part of this comprehensive reform agenda, the KNVB is demanding that current President Gianni Infantino be removed from his position no later than 2027, signalling a desire for both leadership change and systemic transformation within world football’s governing authority.
The Dutch FA, a founding member of FIFA since 1904, issued a formal statement on Sunday confirming that it no longer has confidence in Gianni Infantino’s presidency.
According to the KNVB, the reforms needed are far more extensive than a mere leadership change; the federation is advocating for a complete restructuring of FIFA’s entire governance model, including its decision-making processes and accountability mechanisms.
