Shafaqna English– Facing pressure from Washington and a worsening economic crisis, Cuba has rolled out new rules to encourage foreign investment and expand trade and tourism. The national registry published 34 pages of legal changes that, on paper, open the island’s beaches, labor force, and property to investors.

The foreign trade minister said the reforms aim to simplify processes and improve efficiency, despite acknowledging the difficult environment. The move follows a sweeping reform package from June, which many see as the most radical change to Cuba’s state-run economy since 1959.
