Shafaqna English- At his General Audience on 9 September 2026, Pope Leo XIV spoke about protecting human dignity as God’s gift.
The Pope said every person has inherent and permanent dignity because God created and loves them.
“Human dignity does not depend on a person’s abilities, wealth or position in life, nor on the right or wrong choices made,” he said. “Instead, it is a gift that precedes and transcends each person, endowed by God as an expression of His unfailing love.”
