Shafaqna English- Humanity’s future depends on deeper cooperation to build a more humane world, Pope Leo XIV expressed.
In St. Peter’s Square for his weekly General Audience, Pope Leo XIV said that greater interconnectedness must go beyond technological and social links and develop into genuine communion among people, rooted in mutual respect for the spiritual dignity of every human being.
He noted that technological advances, mass media, social networks and artificial intelligence have created new opportunities to connect people and overcome barriers. At the same time, he warned that these developments can encourage increasingly virtual relationships and weaken personal human connections.
The Pope also cautioned against relying on algorithms for decisions that should remain the responsibility of human conscience.
Pope Leo emphasized that humanity should see itself as one family, with people treating one another as brothers and sisters.
