Shafaqna English- The Holy Quran Museum in the Hira Cultural District in Mecca has displayed a rare Quran manuscript that showcases the beauty of Arabic calligraphy, precise composition and the arts of ornamentation and gilding.
Written in black ink, the Quran is displayed open on facing pages beginning with Surat Al-Fatihah. Its pages feature precise Arabic calligraphy and intricate decorative details, including gilded separators and floral motifs that complement the Quranic text without overpowering it. The craftsmanship extends to the dark-brown binding, which features embossed decoration and an elegant medallion.
The Quran is part of the museum’s diverse collection of manuscripts, Qurans, and artifacts documenting the history and arts of the Holy Quran.
