UNICEF: 71,000 children displaced in Yemen over past 3 weeks

Shafaqna English- Some 71,000 children displaced from their homes in Yemen over the past three weeks amid escalating conflict, according to UNICEF.

Akhil Iyer, UNICEF’s country representative in Yemen, told reporters in Geneva that nearly 130,000 people, including 71,000 children, had been displaced during the period.

“Conflict is driving hunger, and hunger makes children even more vulnerable to conflict,” Iyer said.
