Shafaqna English- The UN Human Rights Office has identified 214 companies from 11 countries that are engaged in specific business activities linked to Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, according to an updated database released on Monday.
The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) announced the addition of 61 companies to the database, while simultaneously removing five companies that were no longer involved in the activities covered by its mandate.
This database, initially published in 2020 under a directive from the UN Human Rights Council, focuses on corporate involvement in a defined set of activities related to Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory.
