Shafaqna English– The Anak Krakatau volcano in Indonesia is expanding. The country’s Geology Agency reported a growth of 32.8 hectares (81 acres). Eruptions were the driver, sending lava flows across the surface. Each flow deposited new material. Over time, that accumulation reshaped the volcano’s size.
Satellite images revealed something unexpected: two new land formations appeared nearby. The Geology Agency verified this. So the eruptions did not just add size to the volcano. They also created new terrain in the surrounding area. This adds a new dimension to the story.
