Shafaqna English– Mexico’s Health Ministry announced on Saturday that the FDA cyclospora investigation into a recent cyclospora outbreak has officially concluded. The probe focused on shredded iceberg lettuce supplied by Taylor Farms in Mexico.
According to the ministry, the FDA investigation did not conclusively identify the source of the contamination. This means the origin of the cyclospora parasite remains unclear despite the completed probe.
The announcement raises ongoing questions about food safety, cross-border supply chains, and how the cyclospora outbreak spread. It also highlights the difficulty of tracing contamination in complex lettuce supply networks.
