Shafaqna English– Germany’s economy may grow around 1% in 2026, according to Bundesbank President Joachim Nagel. Speaking on Friday, he noted that this figure is nearly twice as high as recent projections. Robust export demand and government investment are expected to fuel this growth.
Germany is the world’s third-largest economy. However, it has barely grown over the past three years. The war in Iran is expected to weaken it further, as expensive energy continues to hit its industries. These challenges make the projected growth even more significant.
These developments suggest a potential turning point for Germany’s economy. The Bundesbank’s optimism contrasts with years of stagnation. Yet external shocks could still derail the recovery.
