New record of world famine in Yemen

SHAFAQNA – The United Nations report warned that children in Yemen bear the brunt of the repercussions of the Saudi aggression and that 80% of them need urgent assistance.

Bismarck Swangen, a UNICEF communications specialist in Yemen, said Yemen’s children were slowly dying at every moment because of malnutrition and the recent outbreak of cholera.

“The message we draw from the war on Yemen is that what is happening there is a humanitarian crisis that goes beyond all standards and is much larger than what we see in any part,” said Caroline Anning, an adviser to Save the Children. Of the world, all this happening behind the scenes and not receiving international attention.

“More than 2 million children in Yemen go to bed every night hungry, unable to stand on their feet from hunger, not to mention the number of children over one million outside the school.

Health clinics in Yemen suffer from severe shortage of medical and administrative staff, medical supplies and rooms to receive patients, and children often receive treatment in the corridors and reception hall for lack of adequate beds, if found by more than 6 children.

The “Guardian” that the “coalition” led by Saudi Arabia in its aggression on Yemen led to a wave of displacement of the Yemenis and caused devastating effects manifested in the destruction of the infrastructure of the country on the one hand and the displacement of more than 14.5 million Yemenis on the other hand, which led to a major imbalance in Social structures and demographic balances may go beyond Yemen’s borders to other countries.

Earlier this year, international donors pledged $ 2.1 billion worth of humanitarian aid to Yemen, of which only one third had been paid so far. Are restrictions on aid, including long delays in access to the main port of Hodeidah. And the closure of Sanaa airport is what prevents it, or is something else woven behind the scenes to complete the destruction of Yemen?
