SHAFAQNA – Iraqi military estimates that 500 ISIS terrorists are remaining inside Ayadiyah, the last district held by the ISIS terrorists in Tel Afar.
Iraqi media outlets, quoting military sources in Tel Afar, reported that 500 armed members of the ISIS terrorist group are being surrounded in Ayadiyah area.
The Iraqi Federal Police Command announced on Tuesday the liberation of 50 percent of Ayadiyah and several important positions in the town north of Tel Afar.
The operation to liberate Tel Afar commenced on August 20. Iraqi forces managed to liberate central Tel Afar. The army is waiting to liberate Ayadiyah to declare the complete victory over ISIS in the city.
