The main point of Ayah 41 of Surah Al-Roum

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) who said: Whenever ten characteristics are visible in my Ummah, they will be inflicted with ten calamities from God. The Prophet (PBUH) was asked: What are they? The Prophet (PBUH) replied: Whenever they do less Dua, a calamity is sent down; and whenever charity/alms (Sadaqaat, Khayraat) is abandoned, illness is increased; and if they avoid paying Zakat, their cattle will be destroyed; and whenever a ruler is oppressive towards people, drops of snow and rain from the sky will be cut for them; and when adultery is increased among them, sudden deaths will be increased; and if usury is increased, the earthquakes will also increase; and whenever actions are carried out against God’s Decrees, the enemies will dominate them; and if they break their promise with God, God will inflict them with bloodshed and carnage; and whenever they sell their goods underweight, God also will give them less in their products and cultivation. Then, the Prophet (PBUH) recited Ayah 41 of Surah Al-Roum: Corruption and mischief has appeared on land and sea because of what the people have done, and Allah (SWT) inflicted torment on them for some of their behaviours in order that they may return back from their bad deeds [1].
