What is the ruling on picking fruits from orchards belonging to someone else? The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei’s Fatwa

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei answered questions about picking fruits from orchards belonging to others.

Question: Can fruits from someone else’s orchard which have fallen on the ground be used? Or pick a few from trees?

The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei: It is not allowed without permission from the owner of the fruits, unless the owner does not want them. Also if on route see a fruit tree, can use the fruits on the condition that: Firstly, has not gone on that route with the intention of using the fruits. Secondly, does not harm the trees. Thirdly, eats the fruits there and then and does not take them away.
