What is the ruling if the husband is against his wife’s fasting? The Grand Ayatollah Shobairi’s answer

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Shobairi Zanjani answered a question about the husband prohibiting his wife from fasting.

Question: My husband is against my fasting and says: If your husband is not satisfied, your fasting is not accepted! Can I do Iftar (eat) the fasting of the Month of Ramadhan and later on do Qadha fasting (fast the missed days)?

The Grand Ayatollah Shobairi: It is Wajib for you to fast. Obeying the husband in this case is not allowed.
