Iran cultural exhibition in Algeria

SHAFAQNA – Mehr News Agency: An Iranian cultural exhibition is currently underway in Algerian city of Balida to get the Algerians familiar with Iran’s culture and art.

The cultural exhibition which is held through the efforts of Iran’s embassy in Algeria and an Algerian cultural institute is currently underway in the city of Balida that is the capital of Blida Province and located about 45 km south-west of Algiers.

Iran’s cultural attache Amir Mousavi said in the opening ceremony of the exhibition “according to agreements reached with Algerian officials during Iranian minister of culture, several major cultural and art projects are going to be carried out in Algiers.”

“One of the previously planned joint projects is making an important historical film that Iranian filmmakers are going to produce in Algeria in cooperation with Algerian artists , while its early stages and the selection of the actors are already done,” he added.

Mousavi further expressed hope that cultural relations between the two countries will be strengthened more than ever through these kinds of cultural events.

The Iranian cultural exhibition in Balida will run for a month, and Algerian citizens will become familiar with different aspects of Iranian culture and civilization and art during this period.

Screening some Iranian films and documentaries, holding calligraphy workshops, performing Iranian music, introducing Iranian food and confectionery, introducing Iranian science, tourism and historical attractions and displaying films in that regard are among the programs of the exhibition.
