SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani answered a question about shaving beard.

Question: What is the ruling on shaving the beard from all of the face, and can we have a goatee beard; meaning do not shave the beard on the chin but shave beard from other places (of the face).

The Grand Ayatollah Vahid: According to Wajib precaution, it is not allowed to shave beard from chin or a part of it. And if some beard is grown which conventionally is considered as having beard will suffice. And there is no problem if goatee beard conventionally is considered as having beard.
