What is the effect of Haram acts on the behaviour of the human being?

SHAFAQNA – Beware that the effect of Haram is to provoke inappropriate desires in the human being. Any Haram, especially Haram wealth and property never strengthen the spiritual dimension in the human being; rather it motivates satanic desires. For example, a liquid is poured in a vessel, and after we are certain that it is sherbet, we drink it. Afterwards we realize that it was an alcoholic drink. Drinking that liquid according to religious law is not Haram, because we were certain that there is no problem to drink it, but can this religious law prevent us from getting drunk? Eventually, by drinking this alcoholic drink, we get drunk and lose our wisdom; this is the effect of the Haram act [1].
