SHAFAQNA – Beautiful Mosque: The first mosque of Karachi’s Bahria Town opened for the residents and visitors recently. Masjid-e-Ashiq is named after the father of Malik Riaz Hussain.
Sprawling over 2.5 acres of land, Masjid-e-Ashiq has a capacity of 2,500 worshippers, with a 160 feet high central minaret. With the diameter of 35 feet, the dome of the masjid is 85 feet high from the ground. The mosque has a separate space for 250 women worshippers.
Masjid-e-Ashiq has a state-of-the-art ablution area. The designs and facilities are made in a way to provide ease to the disabled persons and provide as much comfort as possible.
