British journalist: Fatwa of Grand Ayatollah Sistani refuted the West’s misconceptions towards Islam

SHAFAQNA-

British journalist Robert Carter confirmed that the Fatwa of Grand Ayatollah Sistani refuted the West’s misconceptions towards Islam and that the fatwa was issued for the Shias only, pointing out that the truth reveals the verdict was for all Iraqis not only Shias.

“Some well-known media outlets have used ISIS as a means of defaming Islam and the Arabs so that no one will trust them,” Carter said in an interview with the official website.

Carter pointed out, “Iraq is the complete opposite of how it’s portrayed in Western media and is far from sectarian tensions, but there are foreign hands that seek to destroy it.”

The British journalist arrived in Karbala to participate in the Fifth Tarateel Sajjadiya International Festival, organized by Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.
