Iran’s Zarif wishes Christian world a Merry Christmas

SHAFAQNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted on the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ greetings to Christians in Iran and around the world and wished peace and happiness for the upcoming 2019.

“The angels said, ‘Mary, God gives you good tidings of a Word from Him whose name is Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary; high honored shall he be in this world and the next, near stationed to God’. (QURAN 2:45)” Zarif Tweeted on Monday.

“May the blessings of the birth of Jesus usher peace and joy to all in 2019”, Zarif added.

Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ observed most commonly on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration among millions of people around the world.
