People in the Middle East condemn Normalization of Arab-Israeli ties

SHAFAQNA- People in some Arab counties, condemned attempts by a number of Arab states and Persian Gulf kingdoms to normalize diplomatic relations with the Israeli regime.

In recent years, a noticeable shift has taken place between Israel and the Arab world: the scope of common interests between them has widened, and they have found themselves successfully cooperating on a number of strategically important issues, such as security, energy, and the sharing of natural resources, foreignaffairs mentioned. Although most of these efforts take place behind the scenes, but, some have happened in the public eye, like a recent United States-led conference held in the Polish capital of Warsaw, during which Arab leaders met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as many Arab observers also called the event a pre-planned stage for the normalization of Israeli-Arab ties.

The massive rallies took place in the Yemen capital, San’a, at Bab al-Yemen (Yemen’s door), as well as in the provinces of Sa’ada, al-Hodeida, Ta’izz, al-Jawf, Amran, and Ibb. A total of 20 separate rallies were held across the country. Both leftist parties and Islamic movements participated in the demonstrations, which were organized by Ansar Allah and promoted under the banner “innocence of traitors”, mintpressnews reported.

The demonstrators specifically criticized a recent United States-led conference held in the Polish capital of Warsaw.

Israeli PM’s office leaked a video of a closed-door meeting in which Persian Gulf Arab officials were seen playing down the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, defending Israel’s “right to defend itself”, and describing Iran as a “threat” to regional peace, yemenpress mentioned.

The leader of the Yemeni Revolution, Sayyed Abdul Malek Badreddin al-Houthi, has called for protests in the streets of Yemen on Sunday, to reaffirm the Yemeni stance of support and solidarity with the Palestinian cause, and to reject any normalization with Israel.

“The Warsaw conference, which was held under the supervision of the United States, is only one of many stations where plots have taken place against the nation, and what distinguishes it from its predecessors is its emergence to the public to what was going on in backstage,” Abdul Malik al-Houthi said, en.althawranews told.

Dwarfs who will be hurled into the dustbin of history

Morocco’s Justice and Development Party has condemned attempts by a number of Arab states and Persian Gulf kingdoms to normalize diplomatic relations with the Israeli regime, describing them as “dwarfs who will be hurled into the dustbin of history.”

“The people who normalize relations with the Zionist entity are dwarfs controlled by America and the Zionist entity. They cannot escape their destiny in the dustbin of history,” Naziha Maarij, a leader of the Islamic party, said in an exclusive interview with the Palestinian Arabic-language Shehab news agency.

Since its establishment in 1948, Israel has sought to normalize its existence in the Middle East and with its Arab neighbors. A settler state built on Palestinian land previously under British colonial rule, Israel faced many challenges and important constraints. Today, however, Israel seems to be closer to officially normalizing its existence in the wider Arab world by aggressively pursuing relations with the monarchies of the Persian Gulf.
