Why loyalty and honesty is the best policy?

SHAFAQNA – Imam Ali (AS) said: O’ people, loyalty is accompanied with honesty, and I do not know of any stronger shield than them. The one, who is aware of his /her return on the Day of Judgment, is not disloyal and dishonest. But today we live at a time that most people consider trickery and betrayal as cleverness, and call the ignorant individuals as prudent [1].
