A secret court in Saudi sentences death penalty against 2 Shia activists from Awwamiyya

SHAFAQNA ( Exclusive ) – Human rights organization announced on Wednesday, February 18, that the secret court in Saudi Arabia sentenced activists, death sentence who are citizens of the Shia town Awwamiyya charges related to participating popular movement in the region. European Human Rights of Saudi Arabia organization, based in Berlin, has announced that the closed session without the presence of lawyers, the Court of Appeal in Riyadh held on the sixteenth of February, and upheld on demonstrators Mohammed Alshawak and Ali Aal Rabah on the ninth of June last year.
The organization was in an earlier statement said that the death sentence was issued against 9 of the detainees, including Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr, for the human rights demands in the period between May to October of last year, as the organization confirmed that the charges had been extracted under torture, and authorities did not allow the provision of a lawyer in investigations conducted with the detainees.
