Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia pursue strategic cooperation

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) – The office of the President of Afghanistan issued a declaration today saying: Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzi, the President of Afghanistan yesterday met and held talks with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. In this meeting, two sides discussed various issues regarding the strategic cooperation, the role of Saudi Arabia in resolving the existing problems of the Islamic world, the effect of Saudis in the peace process in Afghanistan, economic cooperations, the problems of Afghani traders and labourers in Saudi Arabia and resolving problems of Afghan pilgrims during the Hajj ceremony. The Saudi Crown Prince called Afghanistan a freindly country and stressed: Saudi Arabia considers Afghanistan an important and strategic Islamic country and wishes to expand cooperation in all areas with this country. At the end of the meeting, two sides decided to form groups to discuss in details all the issues outlined.
