Al Baqee demonstration – July 13th in Washington

SHAFAQNA – This July 13th, 2016 the Baqee Organization will hold its annual protest before the Saudi Embassy in Washington DC, to denounce Wahhabism, and reclaim Islam for the whole of the Muslim community.

While the world continues to look onto Saudi Arabia, and see in al-Saud Royals the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, millions of concerned Muslims have recognized the treacherous hand of radicalism, and oppression.

Far from being the Guardians of Islam, al-Saud Royals have – and that for several centuries – worked to defile, redact, and transform Islam, so that it could resemble their violent takfiri ideology.

The protector and carrier of Wahhabism, the very ideology which inspired the likes of al-Qaeda and Daesh to rain death, bloodletting and absurd violence onto the world to rise an absolute tyranny, Saudi Arabia has oppressed Muslims with a virulence which remains unparalleled.

It is in defense of Islam and Islam patrimoine that the Baqee organization was established – a rampart against treachery, an assertion of the truth, a resistance against tyranny.

A coalition of American-Muslims, the Baqee organization is committed to raise awareness of the brutal atrocities and attacks carried against Muslims, Islam and the Islamic Heritage sites.

Every year the Baqee organization holds a protest against Saudi Arabia, calling on the kingdom to restore al-Baqee cemetery, where some of Islam’s most revered figures have been buried — Imam Hassan ibn Ali, Imam Hussain ibn Ali, Imam Muhammad ibn Ali and  Imam Ja’far ibn Muhammad.

Because those imams belong to AhluBayt (the House of the Prophet Muhammad) Wahhabist Saudi Arabia has called for the desecration of their resting place; hoping through such a criminal act to turn Muslims away from their imams, and break the allegiance of a people to its prophet.

On 8th Shawwal, the Islamic world witnessed a tragedy of unprecedented dimension.

On 21st April 1925, (8th Shawwal 1345 A.H.), one of the Islam’s holiest places, Jannat al-Baqee was demolished by the Saudi government. The organization is calling for its immediate restoration.

In the same year (1925), Ibn Saud also demolished the tombs of holy personages at Jannat al-Mualla (Mecca) where the Holy Prophet’s mother, wife, grandfather and other ancestors are buried. Destruction of sacred sites in Hijaz by the Saudi Wahhabis continues even today. The idea is to eradicate Islam legacy and heritage, and to systematically remove all its vestiges so that in the days to come, Muslims will have no affiliation with their religious history.
