SHAFAQNA – A program from the Aspen Ideas Festival featuring two American Muslims. One is the son of Afghani refugees who works for the Department of Homeland Security, and one is the daughter of Pakistani immigrants who founded an organization called Safe Nation Collaborative. They share some insights into the varied experiences of Muslims in America.
Haris Tarin is senior policy advisor in the Department of Homeland Security and he is former head of the Muslim Public Affairs Council in Washington. Rabia Chaudry is an immigration and civil rights lawyer and she is founder of Safe Nation Collaborative.
