SHAFAQNA- The Dar-ol-Quran affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ai’s (AS) holy shrine held a Quranic session in the holy shrine of Zayd (AS) in Babil Governorate of Iraq.
According to the Qaf news agency, the program was organized on the sidelines of the 4th edition of “Haleef Al-Quran” international cultural festival in Iraq.
Seyyed Muhammad Ali Hablulmatin, head of the Dar-ol-Quran said that a number of top Quran reciters of the holy city of Najaf, and representatives of Quranic centers from different parts of the country participated in the session.
The main objective of the program was to strengthen relation between the custodians of the holy shrines in Iraq and introduce various religious, cultural and intellectual fields for more cooperation.
The top Qaris and Quranic activists of the centers were honored at the end of the program with the presence of Sheikh Qasim Husnawi, custodian of Zayd (AS) holy shrine and Seyyed Mohammad Ali Hablul Matin, head of the Dar-ol-Quran.
The 4th edition of the international festival was held on October 30 and 31 under the supervision of the custodianships of Shia sacred sites in Iraq.
Zayd ibn Ali (AS) is the son of Imam Sajjad (AS) and grandson of Imam Hussein (AS), the grandson of Holy Prophet (PBUH). Zayd was born in Medina in 695.
Zayd was titled “Haleef Al-Quran” and was a revered and respected member of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS). Scholars, Saints, Sufis and Imams alike, all spoke of him in respectable terms.
