At least 11 killed, Injured in explosion in southern Baghdad

SHAFAQNA – A source from the Ministry of Interior revealed that two people were killed and nine others were injured in a bomb blast that rocked an area near a popular market in southern Baghdad early on Monday morning.

“This morning, an improvised explosive device exploded near a popular market in al-Latifiya area in southern Baghdad, killing two people and wounding nine others,” informed the source.

Adding further the source said, “Security forces rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital and the dead bodies were sent to the forensic department.”
