At least 34 people killed and injured in clashes between police and footbal fans in Cairo

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) – According to reports by Egyptian media, football fans and police clashed in Cairo. Ahli Bank Hospital received 14 bodies, a hospital source told Ahram Online. A spokesperson for the health ministry declined to confirm the deaths, but said that at least 20 people had been injured.

Egypt’s Interior Ministry said in a statement that “The Zamalek fans tried to get in by force, and we had to prevent them from damaging public property.”
