SHAFAQNA- On the occasion of commemorating Arbaeen of Imam Hossein (AS), Shia muslims who were gathered in Augusta held a marching to show their support of Jewish neighbors in the wake of the recent synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh.

According to Press Herald, During this march which was held on Tuseday, Shia muslims chant and wave banners of Imam Hossein (AS).

Additionally the Islamic Society of Augusta (ISA) in a statement condemned the horrific attack on Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh on Saturday (October 28, 2018). “We join with all Muslims and other faith organizations across the country, noting that the heinous and cowardly attack is totally inconsistent with the tenets of our faiths. Islam’s holy book, The Qur’an, says (paraphrased) ‘If one murders an innocent person, it is as if he murdered all of mankind.’ Indeed, American Muslims today feel as if they were attacked along with America’s Jews”, the statement said.

Earlier this week, a Muslim-led effort has begun a fundraiser over $200,000 to help the Jewish victims and their families of Saturday’s synagogue shooting at the Pittsburgh where 11 people killed.
