Ayatollah Khamenei urges firm decisions to fight corruption in Iran

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association)- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Monday urged Iranian authorities to make and implement firm decisions on the fight against administrative corruption.

The Leader urged heads of the three branches of the governments (Executive, Legislative and Judicial) to ‘make and execute strong and practical decisions to defy corruption with no consideration’.

Ayatollah Khamenei issued the guidelines in a message to an ongoing national seminar on ways to promote healthy administrative strategies.

The message was read to the opening session of the gathering by First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri Monday morning.

The Leader also praised measures of the Iranian authorities to fight administrative corruption stressing, ‘either with or without seminars, I expect you’ to act with no considerations against corruption.

The day-long seminar was inaugurated here by President Hassan Rouhani who in his opening address referred to monopoly as one of major causes of the growth of administrative corruption.

The president urged the need for practical, impartial and firm actions against the evil phenomenon.
