Can a Muslim woman work in a non-Muslim hairdressing salon? The Grand Ayatollah Sistani’s answer

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Sistani answered a question about a Muslim woman working in non-Muslim hairdresser.

Question: Some hairdressers look for female staff; can a Muslim woman work in such a hairdresser, and groom and make up Muslim and non-Muslim women who appear in front of non-Mahram men without Hijab?

The Grand Ayatollah Sistani: There is no problem with grooming others by itself. But if the grooming is considered as spreading corruption and sin, she has no such a right, however proving such a case seems improbable.
