Can gathering too much wealth cause corruption of a believer?

SHAFAQNA – Usually the corruptions which are mentioned about wealth refer to too much wealth/possessions which we mention about someone who loves and strives to amass wealth. The related corruption are too many, wealth for everyone whether is too much or too little, if it has become a target/aim, will cause negligence of God. Meaning, the biggest and usual corruption related to love of wealth, is negligence of God. Of course, less wealth brings less negligence and more wealth more. In the beginning (Ayah 1) of Surah Takathur, Allah (SWT) said: “striving for more distracts you (from remembering God) [1]”.
