Can things given in trust for safekeeping be kept at any place? The Grand Ayatollah Makarem’s answer

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi answered a question about looking after things given in trust.

Question: Can things given in trust for safekeeping be kept at any place?

The Grand Ayatollah Makarem: Whenever a person accepts to look after a thing which is given in trust, if he/she has no suitable place for its safekeeping, must provide one, and look after that thing in a way that people say he/she has not failed in safekeeping of that item; otherwise if that thing is perished, he/she is liable.
