SHAFAQNA – On Tuesday Chinese Ambassador in Iraq, Chen We Ching and his accompanying delegation had visited Imam Ali Holy Shrine. The ambassador was received by Internal Relations officials’ of Imam Ali Holy Shrine.
The ambassador had a tour in the historical and archaeological sites scattered throughout the shrine and then toured in Visit and Worship Part of Sahan (Courtyard) Fatima (peace be upon him).
The ambassador said, “It is great honor for me to visit Imam Ali Holy Shrine. As soon as I arrived to Iraq as a new ambassador to my country in Baghdad, I chose Najaf to be the first province to visit outside Baghdad because I know that this province and the Holy City is the spiritual capital of Iraq.”
He added, “I visited the holy city to express my respect for its long history and its flourishing religious culture. I am making this visit to Najaf to promote cultural and civilization communication and economic cooperation between China and Iraq.”
