Collection of foreign books on subject of Prophet available in library of Astan Quds Razavi

SHAFAQNA – A collection of printed books in sixteen languages ​​(except Persian and Arabic) on the subject of the Prophet (S.A.W) is available in the foreign books hall of the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi.

The expert of foreign books hall of Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi said, “At present, there is held a number of foreign books in Albanian, German, Urdu, Spanish, English, Italian, Bulgarian, Bosnian, Portuguese, Tajik, Azeri, Turkish, Chinese, Russian, Romanian and French on issues related to Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) in this hall.”

Noting that the number of translation versions of the Qur’an in this room amounts to74 foreign languages, Hamid Reza Montazer Abadi added, “Also recovery of 318 records in English and French and 39 records in Urdu on the subject of the Prophet (S.A.W) is possible through Simorgh search system.”

He added that some English sources in this hall include titles such as ‘Life of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.): According to the description of events in chronological order’, ‘Follow Muhammad: A New Approach to Islam in the contemporary world’, and the book ‘The Life of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) Based on the Earliest Sources’.

“Including114 690 books in 91 languages ​​(apart from Persian and Arabic) as well as two closed treasures and a deposit unit, foreign books hall of the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi offers service to home and foreign researchers”, Montazer Abadi remarked.

Describing this hall as one of the most important and richest sections of the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi he said, “There are over twenty thousand books in three languages of English, French and Urdu on various topics in the deposit unit.”

It is notable that the foreign books hall is located on the ground floor of the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi, opposite to researchers’ hall operating in even days from 7:30 to 18:45 and Sundays and Tuesdays from 7:15 to 13:30 and Thursdays from 7:15 to 12:30 pm.
