What are the consequences of going after the world in the name of religion?

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from Imam Sadeq (AS) who said: In one of God’s books sent down to one of the prophets, God has promised that: “Indeed, some of God’s creatures embrace the world in the name of religion, they show their appearance in sheep’s clothing but in reality their hearts are like the hearts of the wolves. Their actions are even bitter than the Aloe Vera plant, but their tongues for deceiving people are sweeter than honey. The smell of their intentions is worse than the rotten corpse. Do they want to deceive or trick God? Then, I swear to My Glory, I will inflict on them the sedition (Fitnah) which they will float in its flames, so that their screams can be heard around the world; as the tolerant one will be amazed, and the judgment of the judge, and the ruling of the wise will go astray in it, and they will be clothed with the apparel of disunity, and I will make some of them taste the hardship and rage, and I will make them to be each other’s enemies, and I will take revenge from My enemies through My other enemies, and then I will torment all of them [1].”
