SHAFAQNA – Ayah 7 of Surah Al-Qaafer says: They seek forgiveness for those who believe. Of course Ayah 5 of Surah Al-Shura says: They seek forgiveness for all those on earth; it appears in this Ayah that the angels seek forgiveness for all the people but this is not the case because in principal they do not see the unbelievers in order to seek forgiveness for them. As the unbelievers are trapped in various types of darkness as mentioned in Ayah 40 of Surah Al-Noor and as God does not notice the unbelievers nor speaks to them, as mentioned in Ayah 77 of Surah Al-e-Imran; therefore the angel only see the believers and alight only on them, as mentioned in Ayah 30 of Surah Al-Fosselat.
