Does a woman need to ask her husband’s permission to take part in elections? The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei’s answer

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei answered questions about women taking part in elections.

Question: Considering that for taking part in elections, a woman must come out of the house; is it Wajib for a woman to ask her husband’s permission? And if the husband does not give permission or does not want her to take part in elections, what is the duty of the woman?

The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei: Taking part in elections does not require husband’s permission.
