SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association)- Hamas member Ismail Rizwan condemned the recent remarks of the US Secretary of State John Kerry about the Resistance Movement.
Talking to IRNA, he expressed regret over the fact Kerry compared Hamas with such terrorist groups as Daesh and the al-Nusra Front.
He said the remarks disclosed Washington’s lack of impartiality as well as its sympathy with the Zionist regime.
He described Kerry’s remarks as ‘lacking any sense and value’ and said they are based on the old US animosity with Arab and Islamic countries especially with the Palestinian nation.
He said such remarks are in line with the objective of isolating active and combatant groups fighting against the usurper regime.
The Hamas member stressed that any kind of coalition between the Zionist regime and certain Arab countries against Palestine will meet harsh and destructive reaction by freedom seeking and zealous Muslims.
Hamas had already condemned Kerry’s statements in which he said that some Arab countries are willing to become ally of Israel against the movement.
Kerry also said that there are Arab states willing to make peace with Israel in an effort to ally with Israel against Hamas and the Islamic State (ISIS).
Official Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri described Kerry’s statements as ‘delusions’ and ‘dreams’ that will not come true.
He added: ‘Hamas is a national liberation movement and the Palestinian resistance will last as long as the Israeli occupation and attacks on the Palestinians continue.’
