SHAFAQNA- The European Parliament opened an exhibition featuring paintings of Rohingya women entitled “Stories of Rohingya: Shock, Flexibility and Hope” to show the plight and suffering of refugee women in Rohingya.
“The drawings reflect the trauma they have had and their hopes in the future, all to preserve the Rohingya issue and not forget it,” conservative member of the European Parliament from Scotland Baroness Nosheena Shaheen Mobarik stated.
Mobarik, who has also drawn attention in the European Parliament to the plight of the Rohingya in Myanmar, called on the world not to forget the suffering of the Rohingya refugees, saying they had suffered badly.
Mobarik visited the Cox Bazar refugee camp in Bangladesh last April to learn about the situation of Rohingya refugees.
