SHAFAQNA – Residents in Sana’a, the Yemeni capital have complained since Sunday that dangerous fumes have suffocated several civilians and led to at least three deaths over the past 24 hours.
“Strange fumes have filled the air after bomb attacks and we are now worried the Saudi coalition are using chemical agents against Yemen,” said Mohammed Abdel Wahhab, a doctor at Sana’a German hospital.
He added, “Several people are brought in with breathing difficulties and they describe smelling Clorox before passing out. This could meant that Chlorine has been used as a chemical agent. This could be prove very dangerous in highly populated areas and will lead of course to many deaths. We are calling on the international community to uphold their own legal covenant and end civilians’ suffering. This war they are waging against Yemen is unlawful and inhumane. There is no honor in targeting women and children. This is utterly despicable.”
