Fars News/Bahraini Human Rights Activist Zainab Al-Khawjeh goes on trial tomorrow

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) – Zainab Al-Khawjeh, the Bahraini Human Rights activist will go on trial on Monday for insulting the Police. Yusuf Al-Mohafezeh Deputy Head of Bahrain’s Human Rights Organisation said in his Twitter page that “Zainab Al-Khawjeh, the Human Rights activist will be trialed tomorrow, she is accused of insulting the Police”.

Zainab Al-Khawjeh is the daughter of Abdulhadi Alkhawjeh, the ex-Head of Bahraini Human Rights Organisation who is currently in prison for taking part in popular protests which started in 2011. Abdulhadi was arrested and beaten by Police, he spent some times in hospital and in June 2011 was sentenced by a military court for trying to overthrow the regime. He has been on hunger strike for many times to draw international attentions to the plight of political prisoners in Bahrain.
