First group of Azerbaijani pilgrims leaves for Hajj

SHAFAQNA - The plane carrying the first group of Azerbaijani pilgrims wishing to make their Hajj pilgrimage took off Friday morning from the Heydar Aliyev international airport.
Another three flights are planned to be carried out throughout the day.

Hajj flights will be performed until September 15.

The Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) told APA that all organizational issues were solved in Saudi Arabia, buildings were rented and hotels were booked for accommodation of Azerbaijani pilgrims. Pilgrims twice a day will be provided with food, and twenty-four-hour tea will be available there.

Pilgrims are offered two forms of pilgrimage as usual. One option, which offers more prestigious hotels where guests can have much more expensive meals and stay in four-bed rooms, will coast USD 5,750. The other, which offers relatively cheaper hotels with six-bed rooms, will coast USD 4,700. Because of the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, the pilgrimage process will take place via air only. The flights will be carried out by AZAL. The payment for Hajj pilgrimage will be made in US dollar.
