Fourth deadly suicide attack in Kabul since new Afghan president inaugurated

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) – A Taliban suicide bomber targeted an Afghan army bus on Thursday, killing three people and wounding ten.

It is the fourth high-profile attack in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul since the begining of the week when the new president was sworn in.

On Wednesday, two suicide attacks on army buses left at least seven people dead, and on Monday seven people died when the international airport was attacked

Local shopkeeper Mahmood Ahmadi described the aftermath of the attack, saying:“The suicide bomber hit the army bus, pieces of human flesh were on the streets, there was damage done to the homes in this area, our windows and the neighbourhood’s windows were all broken.”

The Taliban has declared war on the new government.

President Ashraf Ghani was inaugurated on Monday after months of deadlock in an agreement to power share with his former rival.

He has also signed a deal that will allow US forces to stay in the country, something his predecessor had refused to do.
